Major airports in Reno, Sacramento, Oakland and San Francisco serve the Tahoe area. By car, Reno is less than 30 minutes away from Truckee, Sacramento is about 90 minutes away, and Oakland/SF are about 4 hours away.
Accommodations
We have a block of rooms reserved at a group rate starting at $180/night at the Cedar House for anyone who wants to stay at the reception site itself. We checked them out, and the rooms are gorgeous! You can reserve a room by calling the front desk at 1.866.582.5655 and asking for a room in the Illi/Phillips block.
If euro-environmental chic isn't your cup of tea, however, there are many other hotels and condos to rent in the Truckee/Tahoe area. An overview of options in the North Lake Tahoe area is available online here.

Lake Tahoe is a gorgeous area, and we are excited to share it with all of you! Below are events for Friday, August 5; let Julie or Eric know if you will be in the area earlier than Friday afternoon so we can connect sooner.

Kings Beach State Park for a picnic and kayaking; we have four tables reserved in the picnic area. The park is located in downtown Kings Beach, northeast of Tahoe City. The easiest route is to take I-80 to Truckee, then travel 13 miles southeast along Highway 267; click here for a map to the park
